We expect that airport will increase tourism activities in Gazipasa, Anamur and Alanya. It will also solve transportation problems of the region and that region will be an attractive area for new tourism investments.

Gazipasa airport located in eastern Antalya. The construction started in 1992. The plan was to serve the Alanya region in general as far as the historic town of Anamur. Completing the construction of Gazipasa Airport took more than 10 years. The dilemma about its location generated many newspaper stories about criticism of officials for miscalculating the risks of the location. As the massive investment was totally abandoned, people started to use the airport area to plant vegetables.

Finally the airport could be operational after a successful bidding process brought TAV, that won the Gazipasa Airport, to eastern Antalya.

Do your reservation early. All seats in a plane are priced differently. For example %10 of them the seats are cheapest, %20 are below normal, %25 are normal, %25 are expensive, %20 are above expensive. If you are the earliest booking passenger you’ll pay the lowest price. If you are the last passenger, you’ll pay the most.

It is important to plan carefully when you’ll go. Generally July and the first half of August is the hottest season and you’ll pay the highest for flights to Antalya.
